Children can describe their surroundings (“a mushroom house”, “a colourful rainbow”), create stories about Lily and Polo, and express the characters’ emotions. Parents can enrich the play with questions such as: “Where will Lily go? What is the deer doing?” – thereby supporting the development of vocabulary, sentence structure and the ability to narrate a coherent story.
