Product detailed description

This educational game with cogs transforms learning the multiplication tables into a clear and motivating process. Children work with cards featuring sums and gradually move them between the five cogs depending on how confidently they can answer the questions. The aim is to get a card all the way to the fifth cog – meaning the child has solved the sum correctly for five days in a row. If they are unsure, they can check the answer on the back of the card and start again from the first gear. The game thus naturally encourages repetition and consolidation of the material.

The game links maths with language – children read the examples aloud, formulate answers and learn to express numerical relationships accurately. Repeated naming (“three times four is twelve”) supports correct sentence structure and the automatic use of numeral forms. I recommend that the child always gives the answer in a full sentence and occasionally explains it (“because three groups of four”), thereby strengthening comprehension and verbal confidence.
